Witteveen+Bos’ engineers and consultants possess an intrinsic drive to resolve complex issues and help society to progress. Witteveen+Bos advises and helps clients in making the right choices. At the core, our work is about knowledge: bringing together the right expertise to help solve these challenges in a sustainable manner.
Every Witteveen+Bos'er wants to make a useful contribution. That is why talent development is a priority in our organisation and for that reason we encourage our employees to make their dreams and ambitions a reality. Although we have different specialist disciplines, all Witteveen+Bos'ers are working on the basis of a shared passion and a desire to make the world a better place. In a global network, we combine our talents, share knowledge, like to collaborate and, importantly, we enjoy the work we do.
We can even recognise our founders in this. Willem Gerrit Witteveen, an experienced city architect, had a clear personal vision and ambition for urban development issues. Goosen Siger Bos, a young, ambitious civil engineer, wanted to run a company of his own. For him, too, knowledge and passion for the profession were key elements. Together, they founded Witteveen+Bos in 1946 to contribute to a major societal challenge of that time – rebuilding the Netherlands after World War II. From that moment onwards, our company has always been a reflection of changing societal challenges. We meet these challenges in our own unique way, based on our DNA: be a good professional, collaborate with others in a culture of entrepreneurship and trust.
